A complete clean in one go?

The Hoppe’s 9 boresnake has a sequence of smooth and brush parts to get rid of all types of residue inside your barrel.
For the first use, insert the weight (the metal part) into the barrel chamber and let it fall with gravity and retrieve it at the muzzle. Then pull using the handle, aligned with the barrel to avoid ruining the muzzle and your Boresnake.

When should you use an oil or a solvent?

Your gun will be cleaned the first time you pass the Boresnake through it. Once cleaned and in order to protect it; pour a few drops of oil onto your Boresnake and pass it through your barrel again. Your gun is now ready to be stored for as long as you need.
